Near Dailly, KA26 9RH
On the summit of Maxwellston Hill lie the remains of a pictish fort. All that is left of this prehistoric site is two ramparts and two ditches. It is also believed to have been a place where Robert the Bruce took refuge after loosing a battle at Turnberry Castle. This site can be reached via the Maxwellston Hill Walk that begins in the village of Dailly.
